Initial Requirement:

The Army Ground Forces, in line with developing cultural and recreational activities for their personnel, initiated the construction of the Fath al-Mobin Cultural and Sports Swimming Pool in the Dokooh area of Tehran.

Given the pool’s purpose and the importance of controlling temperature and humidity conditions in swimming pool environments, the client sought a reliable, moisture-resistant, and high-efficiency air handling system capable of distributing fresh, comfortable, and dry air evenly throughout the pool hall in all seasons.

Additionally, due to the high humidity and the presence of chlorine in the pool hall air, the selected unit needed to have a corrosion-resistant structure and appropriate filters for humid environments.

Solution:

Our technical team, after carefully assessing the environmental conditions and the space’s thermal load, designed and supplied a dedicated pool air handling unit with a capacity of 3,000 CFM.

The unit’s body was constructed using reinforced galvanized sheets with an anti-corrosion coating to ensure full resistance against humidity and chlorine vapor.

The coils were specially manufactured with coated stainless steel fins to guarantee the system’s durability and efficiency in a humid environment.

The design of this air handling unit also included adjustable fresh and return air dampers, multi-stage filters, and a low-noise centrifugal fan to maintain air quality in the pool hall while keeping operational noise to a minimum.

Result:

With the installation and operation of the new air handling unit, the Fath al-Mobin Cultural Swimming Pool of the Army Ground Forces now benefits from a system with stable performance, high efficiency, and full resistance to the pool’s environmental conditions.

Uniform air distribution, maintenance of comfortable temperature, and proper humidity control have increased user comfort and significantly reduced the need for periodic maintenance.

This project stands as a successful example of designing and providing specialized ventilation equipment for humid and chlorinated environments, ensuring reliable and long-term performance.
