Initial Need:
In the Electrical and Control Unit of Bandar Imam Petrochemical, a dedicated cooling system was required to maintain stable temperatures in the electrical rooms and control panels.
Given the critical importance of uninterrupted operation for electrical systems and the sensitivity of the equipment, the client placed strong emphasis on ease of maintenance access and an industrial design with high reliability.
Solution:
Our technical team, after assessing the environmental conditions and access limitations at the site, designed and manufactured an industrial chiller with a cooling capacity of 20 tons of refrigeration.
The system was equipped with two 10-ton scroll compressors in tandem configuration, which not only improved reliability and provided better cooling capacity control but also allowed one circuit to remain operational during maintenance, avoiding complete shutdowns.
All control and service components were designed to be accessible through a single main access door, enabling maintenance tasks to be carried out easily and with minimal downtime.
Result:
The unit was successfully manufactured, tested, and delivered, and is now operational in the plant’s electrical room.
The precise design and consideration of operational and maintenance needs led to complete satisfaction from the Bandar Imam Petrochemical technical team, and the project was recognized as a successful example of practical design in heavy industry applications.
